Negrotto papers include: miscellaneous orders concerning security at the Supreme Headquarters, Allied Forces (SHAEF) War Room (1945) and seating arrangements for the surrender of Nazi Germany. Most items are official reports and correspondence of SHAEF and major American subordinate elements in Europe. These include: reports of the General Board, U.S. Forces, European Theater; studies 1, 2, 22, and 129; SHAEF correspondence; intelligence estimates; operations reports (Dec. 1944-May1945); Office of the Director of Intelligence/U.S. Strategic Air Forces in Europe report entitled: Allied Air power and the Ardennes offensive; 6th Army Group operations (Jan 1945); 12th Army Group operations (June,1944-May 1945); 21st Army Group operations (June 1944-May 1945); 7th Army report entitled: The invasion of southern France (Aug. 1944); 82nd Airborne Division report on the battle of the Bulge. Other pieces include: a clipping on the Army's athletic program in the III Corps area (ca. 1925) and a capsule history of changes in the eastern border of Poland, 1792-1939.

The Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) was established in on Feb. 13, 1944 in London, England under the command of General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
